orn in 1970, Olivier Bleys received a technological and literary education, completed by a postgraduate diploma in cultural projects at the Institut d’Etudes Politiques. His career path has been influenced both by books and by new technologies.
Having proved himself as a writer, Olivier Bleys has published 36 books so far : novels, essays and travel stories, comics, mainly with the Gallimard publishing house (established publisher of French literature Nobel prize winners) which appointed him editorial consultant in 2004. His works have been translated into about 11 languages, among them English, and have won him several awards, such as two from the Académie Française and the Grand Prix du Roman of the SGDL (French Society of Writers).

Over the course of his career, Olivier Bleys has completed 7 writer’s residencies and given many lectures. He was Resident of the Randell Cottage (New-Zealand) from 2008 to 2009.
Olivier Bleys also has extensive experience with new technologies. He first held positions of increasing responsibility with software publishing companies, before becoming an independent game designer. He took part in concept design or dialogs writing of many digital products.

n July 2010, Olivier Bleys set out in France on a round-the-world walk, in stages, which continues from year to year. It reached Moscow in 2019. Olivier has a strong commitment to walking (world tour by foot in stages, peri-urban walking, micro-adventures…), which translates into thematic publications.

Olivier Bleys has also developed a consulting activity in walking : creation of digital walking diaries for various customers (cities, regions, ministries…), animation of walking presentations, organization of walking seminars for companies.
